The governor of Andijan city is arrested

Within the framework of a criminal case, the former governor (khokim) of Andijan city, Bakhrom Khaydarov, was arrested procedurally on 6 June on suspicion of plundering state funds. It was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by the head of press service under the General Prosecutor’s Office Khayot Shamsutdinov.

It is noted that as part of the investigation conducted by the General Prosecutor’s Office, 37 persons were prosecuted, 32 of whom were arrested.

Other details of the case are kept confidential in order to prevent interference while investigating the criminal case.

For reference, Bakhrom Khaydarov is accused of embezzling 48 billion soms from the budget along with his accomplices.
