Uzbek citizen wanted by Tashkent arrested in the U.S.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained 31-year-old Uzbek migrant A.B., suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. According to Uzbekistan’s embassy in the United States, A.B. was wanted under Article 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The suspect is accused of committing crimes under Article 242 (Establishing a Criminal Organization) and Part 3 of Article 244 (Mass Disorders) of the Uzbek Criminal Code. He was wanted internationally and has now been taken into custody by U.S. law enforcement authorities.
The operation to apprehend A.B. began in May 2024 and was carried out in coordination with the relevant Uzbek law enforcement agencies. As a result of these efforts, A.B. was arrested in the United States in early November 2025.
