The US company invests 10 billion dollars in projects in Uzbekistan

During his business visit to New York City, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with Seyfi Ghasemi, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of "Air Products" company. This was reported by the press service of the head of state. US Deputy Secretary of State for Energy, Jeffrey Payette, also participated in the meeting.

The discussions revolved around the further expansion of the strategic partnership with the leading US company, progress on current projects, and specific plans for the future.

Currently, "Air Products" projects are underway in Uzbekistan for the processing of industrial gases at "Uzbekistan GTL" and for the production of synthesis gas, oxygen, nitrogen, and liquefied carbon dioxide based on "Navoiyazot." According to the data, over the next two years, more than 1 billion dollars of direct investments from the company will be attracted as a continuation of these projects.

The conversation also covered prospective projects involving coal gasification, technical gases, hydrogen and ammonium production, and the disposal of bitter gases. Air Products' experts are actively participating in the development of the necessary regulatory framework in the field of decarbonization. Additionally, the portfolio of projects includes the introduction of innovative developments in the food industry.
