Tashkent resident detained for attempting to sell illegal medical supplies

A person has been detained in Tashkent for storing 72,389 medical devices of 29 different types, valued at a total of 240 million soums, to sell them. The State Security Service (SSS) reported this development.
According to the report, during an operation conducted jointly by the Tashkent Regional Department of the SSS and other law enforcement agencies, a citizen born in 1976 and residing in Tashkent was detained. He had agreed to sell 72,000 medical devices for 111 million soums and had already received 30 million soums as an advance payment.
The operation continued, and during a search of the suspect's apartment and vehicle, authorities discovered 72,389 medical products of 29 different types worth 240 million soums. In addition, 867 boxes of medicines and biologically active supplements, including "Magnikum", "Relok", "Dysenteron", and others, were found being stored for sale.
According to the official conclusion of the State Institution "Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products," the medicines were of substandard quality and had been stored in improper conditions. Their sale, transport, and use in medical practice are strictly prohibited.
A criminal case has been initiated against the individual, and investigative procedures are currently underway.
It is worth noting that a similar case was reported in the Bukhara district of the Bukhara region. During an inspection of the apartment and vehicle of a 40-year-old resident, authorities seized 978 boxes of 78 different medicines, including "Imudon", "Cerebrolysin", "Dofamin", and "Maalox". These medications were of unguaranteed quality and lacked proper documentation. They were confiscated by legal procedures.
