The cost of the most expensive license plate sold in 2024 amounted to 965.3 million soums. This was reported by the "Uzbekistan Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange" Joint-Stock Company.
It was noted that over 195 thousand license plates were sold through online auctions last year. Of these, 97 percent were purchased by individuals, while 3 percent were bought by legal entities. The lowest price for a license plate was 1.7 million soums, while the highest reached 965.3 million soums.
Additionally, nearly 64.3 thousand "green certificates" were sold through the exchange, totaling more than 875.9 million soums. To enhance convenience for trading participants, a two-way counter-auction system was introduced on the exchange.
"The two-way adversarial auction is a trading mode of the exchange that offers a more efficient method of determining market prices. In this mode, both buyers and sellers can simultaneously submit price offers, increasing competition on both sides. This new trading mode aims to improve exchange trading efficiency and promote a competitive environment in commodity markets," the report stated.
