Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev becomes Olympic champion

In the boxing final of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, held in France, Uzbekistan's Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev faced Mexico's Marco Alonso Verde Alvarez in the -71 kg weight category. Moydinkhojaev secured the gold medal by defeating Alvarez, and becoming the Olympic champion.
With this victory, the Uzbekistan delegation's medal count at the tournament has risen to seven — four gold and three bronze.
Additionally, Lazizbek Mullojonov, another member of the boxing team, is set to compete in the final bouts today.
