Man detained in Jizzakh for attempting to illegally send citizen to U.S. via Mexico

In the Sharof Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region, a man was detained for attempting to illegally send a citizen to the United States through Mexico. The incident was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, during an urgent operation carried out by law enforcement officers, a resident of Sharof Rashidov district was caught deceiving a citizen from Zarbdor district under the pretense of arranging employment in the U.S. via Mexico. He demanded a total of 200 million soums, including \$11,200 and 50 million soums in local currency.

The Department of Internal Affairs stated that a pre-investigation is currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, in a joint operation in Tashkent, the State Security Service and the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs detained several individuals who were attempting to illegally send citizens to the United States and Japan.
