8203A violent altercation occurred in the city of Jizzakh, where several individuals fought over a debt of 800,000 soums. This was confirmed by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The incident reportedly began when a man came to collect a debt from a young worker at a restaurant in the Uratepalik neighborhood. When the borrower was unable to repay the amount, the creditor resorted to violence, with another individual also joining the scuffle. Realizing the situation was escalating, the creditor left the scene but vowed to return. Later that day, around 4:30 p.m., the creditor returned to the restaurant with several acquaintances, and together they assaulted the borrower and his companions.
Following a complaint filed by the victims, a criminal case has been initiated, and authorities are working to determine the appropriate legal consequences for those involved.
This altercation follows a separate incident in the Jizzakh region, where brothers visiting a hospital engaged in hooliganism. Frustrated by the lack of information about a patient undergoing surgery, one of the brothers insulted the nurses and vandalized the reception area by breaking glass partitions, a computer screen, and door glass. The brothers also resisted the efforts of internal affairs officers.
Legal action was taken, and two of the brothers were sentenced to 15 days of administrative imprisonment, while the third was fined 12 times the base calculation amount (BCA), totaling 4.08 million soums.
