In Samarkand, an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situationas who demanded 600 US dollars in exchange for avoiding administrative accountability was arrested. This was reported by the QALAMPIR.UZ source.

In a swift operation conducted in cooperation with the staff of the Samarkand regional office and the regional office of the Department of Combating Economic Crimes, Sh.J. was apprehended while accepting a bribe from a local citizen.

It was revealed that Sh.J., stationed in the territory of "Qaynama" MFY of Samarkand district, along with the guide-rescuer of the district department of emergency situations and the sub-inspector of the prevention and control department, conducted a fire safety inspection at "R.K. 777" limited liability company. Subsequently, the head of "O.P" limited liability company, L.R., claimed that several deficiencies in terms of fire safety requirements were identified in LLC "R.K. 777," owned by him and his sister K.R., and demanded a payment of 600 US dollars to avoid administrative repercussions.

Sh.J. was apprehended with physical evidence while illicitly receiving the demanded $600.

In response to this incident, a criminal case was initiated against citizen Sh.J. under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and appropriate legal actions were taken.

It is worth noting that earlier, an employee of the Namangan State Service Center (SSC) was apprehended for accepting a bribe of one thousand dollars.
