President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the opening of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand. He wrote about this on his Facebook page on October 31.
“Dear Shavkat Miromonovich! On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and myself, I sincerely congratulate you and the brotherly people of Uzbekistan on the opening of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference,” Japarov said.
He emphasized that this historic event is of great importance for Central Asia, as it is being held outside UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris for the first time in more than forty years.
“This prestigious event clearly demonstrates the high international standing of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the growing recognition of Central Asia as a global center of cultural, spiritual, and humanitarian cooperation,” the Kyrgyz president noted.
According to him, holding such a major forum in the ancient city of Samarkand — the cradle of science, enlightenment, and spirituality — gives the conference symbolic meaning and further highlights Uzbekistan’s role as a bridge between civilizations and a hub for peace, mutual understanding, and creativity.
“I am confident that the decisions and initiatives put forward during the conference will open new horizons for cooperation in education, science, and culture, strengthen friendship between nations, and contribute to the prosperity of our region. I sincerely wish the brotherly Uzbek people success in hosting this large-scale and important event, fruitful discussions, constructive decisions, and inspiring results,” Japarov concluded.
For reference, the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference is taking place from October 30 to November 13.
