Kyrgyzstan's President Sadir Japarov has signed the law ratifying the "Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on the Joint Promotion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Project," as reported by the presidential press service.

The agreement was initially signed on June 6 in Beijing, and the Kyrgyz Parliament, Jogorku Kenesh, adopted the corresponding law on June 19.

The new railway corridor is expected to serve as the southern branch of the Eurasian bridge, facilitating access to markets in Southeast Asia, West Asia, and the Middle East, including Turkey, and extending to the European Union.
