The 16th February this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, proposed creating an interstate council for the expansion of cooperation in the jubilee year and to instruct the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries to prepare relevant documents. He mentioned this proposal at a meeting within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by "24kg".

"I consider it important to raise the status of interstate relations by signing the agreement on alliance relations and to establish a high interstate council at the level of the heads of state," said the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov in a meeting with the head of Uzbekistan.
