The athlete who stabbed world champion Kamoliddin Rasulov to death is sentenced to 15- years imprisonment

The athlete, who fatally stabbed Kamoliddin Rasulov, a world champion in judo and wrestling, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan reported this.

It was noted that the trial on the death of Kamoliddin Rasulov- which began on 8 February, ended on 14 March.
According to the court decision, Sh. T who caused the death of athlete was found guilty under the section “j” of Part 2 of the Article 97 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder with extreme cruelty) and sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment.

The defendant will serve his sentence in a strict-regime colony, and the sentence period will be calculated from September 14, 2021.
It should be recalled that Kamoliddin Rasulov, 29-year-old world champion in judo and wrestling, was stabbed to death by another athlete on September 13 last year in Uchtepa district of Tashkent.

Citizen Sh. T called Kamoliddin Rasulov and informed him that his health had deteriorated due to the use of vitamin “Humo Trop’, which he had bought from the athlete. As well as Sh. T added that doctors said there was no cure for the disease and then Sh. T called the athlete to his home in the 14th district of Uchtepa. Seeing each other, they quarreled, and Sh. T stabbed Kamoliddin Rasulov several times with a kitchen knife on various parts of his body.  

Local media reported that Sh. T was also the champion of Uzbekistan in national wrestling and judo, and was the nephew of the first world champion in Uzbek national wrestling, Toshtemir Muhammadiev.
