Uzbekistan will introduce extended incentives for the jewelry sector until February 1, 2029. Now, depending on the number of jobs created in the industry, discounts of 1–4 percent will be offered on purchases of precious metals and gold. This was announced today, January 13, at a regular session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis by Rahimjon Boboev, acting head of the State Purity Control Inspection.

He noted that a series of presidential decrees and resolutions have been adopted to develop the jewelry sector in Uzbekistan, and these measures are being further refined.

In 2025, the number of entrepreneurs in the sector increased 3.6 times, while exports of finished jewelry products reached 5.1 tons, with a value of $439 million, representing a 4.7-fold increase compared to the previous year.

The new draft law considered by the parliament stipulates that semi-finished jewelry products made from precious metals will require a conclusion from the State Purity Control Inspection under the Ministry of Economy and Finance before being exported outside Uzbekistan.

The draft law is aimed at reducing the illegal circulation of precious metals and gemstones, as well as jewelry and other products made from them.

The law, which seeks to improve the procedure for exporting semi-finished jewelry products from Uzbekistan, was approved by the deputies.
