Construction waste catches fire in Zangiota

On March 19, construction waste caught fire in an open area in Zangiota district, Tashkent region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the incident.

At 10:00 AM, the fire was reported in the “Nurafshon” neighborhood on Uzbekistan Ovozi Street. Two fire-rescue teams arrived at the scene by 10:12 AM, contained the fire by 10:17 AM, and fully extinguished it by 10:28 AM.

"Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the material damage," the report states.

Officials from the Tashkent Regional Emergency Department and the district’s emergency services were present at the site.

Previously, a fire had been reported in a residential area in Yakkasaroy district, Tashkent city.
