Garbage truck fire in Tashkent region extinguished without casualties

On May 12, a specialized waste collection truck caught fire in Yukori Chirchik district, Tashkent region, according to the Regional Traffic Safety Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 AM along the D 014 highway connecting multiple towns, including G‘azalkent, Chirchiq, Yangibozor, Jumabozor, Urtasaroy, and Nurafshon. The vehicle, an Isuzu-brand special cargo truck driven by K.Sh., born in 1973, experienced an engine short circuit that led to the fire.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze, ensuring no injuries were reported among motorists or pedestrians.

Authorities in Yukori Chirchik district’s Emergency Situations Department are conducting further investigations into the incident.

Previously, in Yashnobod district, Tashkent, a Damas and a Cobalt vehicle caught fire, though there were no casualties reported in that case either.
