President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Dilbog neighborhood in Yashnobod district, Tashkent, to observe the living conditions of residents. This visit was reported by the President's press service.

The President examined the ongoing construction and improvement projects in the area.

The Tashkent City Football Academy, under the Football Association of Uzbekistan, is situated in this neighborhood. The state-of-the-art facility includes both indoor and outdoor sports fields, theoretical training rooms, a dormitory, a kitchen, and a library. Currently, 154 children aged 12 to 18 are enrolled here, with training provided by foreign experts. The stadiums are equipped with lighting and video technology.

The President interacted with the academy's students and sports officials.

"Due to our strategic decisions and focus on talented youth, Uzbek football has begun to gain international recognition. Our players are joining European teams, and our youth have qualified for the Olympics. To sustain this momentum, we need to develop football at the neighborhood level, build more stadiums, and enhance its popularity," stated Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Additionally, the President met with members of Uzbekistan's national team, including Abbosbek Fayzullayev, Abduqodir Husanov, and Husniddin Aliqulov, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

The renovation of the water sports palace in the neighborhood was also reviewed. It was recommended that the facility be managed sustainably through a public-private partnership.
