The Uzbek Youth Agency has been designated by the competent State organ in the field of volunteering. This was reported by the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbov.

The agency has some responsibilities in the field of volunteering. Including:

• Implements government policy in the field of volunteering;
• Develops draft normative legal documents in the field of volunteering within its competence;
• Monitors compliance with volunteer legislation;
• Implements measures to develop international cooperation in the field of volunteering.

The MPs passed a bill to give the agency new powers in the first reading.
