Parking lots will be organized under the underground metro line

A total of 2,700 parking spaces will be created under the underground metro line.  Sultan Kadirov, head of the movement service of the state unitary enterprise of Tashkent metropolitan, gave information about this at a briefing held at the Information and Mass Communications Agency.

It is noted that based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 16 October 2021 “On measures to increase the efficiency of the operation of the Tashkent metropolitan” under the overpass of the above-ground metro line passing through the Yashnabad district of Tashkent city (total land area 2.9 hectares), five parking lots with 1,200 spaces and seven parking spaces with 1,500 spaces, a total of 2,700 parking spaces, in the area of the surface metro line passing through Sergeli district (total land area 3.37 hectares)  is planned to be constructed.  

It was also noted that as a result of the implementation of the mentioned planned works, a total of 1700 new jobs will be created.
