The Emperor of Japan awarded Aziz Abduhakimov

The Emperor of Japan awarded a member of the government of Uzbekistan - Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abduhakimov with a high-level order.

On 9 November, the ceremony of awarding the Order of the Rising Sun to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abduhakimov was held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.  According to tradition, the order was awarded by the Emperor of Japan.  Naruhito handed it over in the presence of Prime Minister Fumio Kisida.

It is noted that the awarding of Aziz Abduhakimov with the Order of the Grand Cordon of the Rising Sun confirms the recognition of his long-term contribution to strengthening the friendly relations between Japan and Uzbekistan.

This order has been awarded since 1875 and is the oldest in Japan and the highest level (6th level) of the Order of the Rising Sun.
