Will it snow on New Year’s Eve?

On 31 December this year – on New Year's eve, it is expected to snow across Uzbekistan.  Climatologist Erkin Abdulahatov wrote about it.

According to him, these days, the current of warm air is moving eastward from Europe and rushing towards the Russian plains.

“This situation guarantees that in the next ten days, we will not get cold air currents from the north-west.

Furthermore, nowadays everyone is interested in what kind of weather the Uzbeks will have when welcoming the New Year on New Year's eve.  

“Some climate models are predicting that it will snow outdoors in a large part of the republic when the clock strikes 00:00 on the night of 2023,” the expert wrote.

According to him, it is becoming clear that after 28 December, several phases of moist air flow will enter the republic.

“Five days before 31 December, a reliable weather forecast for New Year’s Eve will be presented,” Abdulahatov confirmed that the information about snowfall on New Year’s Eve is not very reliable.
