Young man drowns at beach in “Yangi O'zbekiston” park

On July 31, a young man drowned at the beach located in the "Yangi O'zbekiston" park in Tashkent. The incident was confirmed to QALAMPIR.UZ by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to available information, the young man died before the ambulance arrived at the scene.
It has been reported that the Mirzo Ulugbek District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a pre-investigation into the incident.
This comes after a series of recent drowning cases. On July 23, three members of a family drowned in Lake Akchakul, located between the Ellikkal’a and Beruniy districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. On the same day, two schoolchildren drowned while swimming in the North Fergana Canal near the "Mirishkor" primary school in Namangan district.
