Due to the construction of the New Tashkent International Airport in the area bordering the Urta Chirchik and Kuyi Chirchik districts of Tashkent region, local residents will be relocated. Compensation will be provided for their homes, as well as for buildings and structures located on the territories of nearby farms. This was announced by the governor of Urta Chirchik district during a meeting with residents.
According to reports, land for the airport has been allocated from the Khalkobod and Yangiyo‘l neighborhoods of the district.
District governor Ikhtiyor Qosimov held a meeting with residents of Khalkobod and heads of local farming enterprises, during which he explained the relocation procedures and compensation process.
“It was explained in detail that compensation will be paid for residential properties and structures located on the land of farming enterprises, and questions from residents and farmers were answered,” the report stated.
It is worth noting that on October 15 this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the project for the new international airport in Tashkent region and took part in the ceremony marking the start of the large-scale construction.
