Minister, deputy ministers, and other officials awarded

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded a group of civil servants on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. Among them were a minister, deputy ministers, and committee chairpersons, the President's press service reported.

In particular, by decree of the Head of State, Sherzod Hidayatov, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, and Jamshid Tursunov, Chairman of the Automobile Roads Committee under the Ministry of Transport, were awarded the honorary title of “honored builder of the Republic of Uzbekistan". Minister Hidayatov was appointed Acting Minister to replace former Minister Botir Zokirov, who was relieved of his duties on July 17 last year due to health reasons. Before this appointment, he served as the first deputy minister.

In addition, the President awarded Davron Vahobov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the honorary title of “honored entrepreneur of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” Vahobov was appointed to this position in March 2022.

The “For Faithful Service” medal was awarded to the following officials: Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee Jahongir Abdiyev, Deputy Director of the Cadastre Agency Tolqin Abdullaev, Deputy Minister of Sports Murod Ismoilov, Director of the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Ministry of Digital Technologies Shuhrat Kodirov, Deputy Minister of Water Resources Rustam Qarshiev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Gulnora Rahimova, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Olimjon Umarov, First Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Nozimjon Kholmurodov, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kahramon Yoldoshev.

It is worth noting that earlier, Sherzodkhon Tojiddukhan Oghli Qudratkhoja, the rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, was awarded the honorary title of “honored journalist of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
