The Professional Football League of Uzbekistan (UzPFL) has established a minimum salary of 5 million 775 thousand sums for each player registered in the league. This was reported by the league's press service.

"Analysis shows that while salaries in professional football clubs continue to rise, there are still challenges in supporting young talents. A player earning the minimum salary faces difficulties in covering their monthly expenses. Based on this, the UzPFL and the Footballers' Union of Uzbekistan jointly submitted a proposal to the Football Association of Uzbekistan. Until all three organizations reach a unanimous decision, the League will not register employment contracts that offer less than five times the minimum wage," the report stated.

Additionally, work is ongoing to amend the "Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Football Players." Significant changes in this area are expected soon, including a revision of the status of professional footballers, as well as more precise regulation of training compensation and related issues, which will be submitted to FIFA for approval.
