Urgent avalanche warning issued by Uzhydromet

Uzhydromet has issued an urgent warning regarding avalanche risks in mountainous areas from December 30-31, 2024, and January 1-3, 2025.
Due to anticipated precipitation and sharp fluctuations in air temperature during this period, there is an increased risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan. This includes the Bostanlik, Ahangaron, and Parkent districts of the Tashkent region (Chatkal mountain range) and the Pop district of the Namangan region.
Authorities urge residents and visitors in these areas to exercise caution and avoid potentially hazardous zones. Emergency services are on high alert to respond to any incidents that may occur.
