Uzhydromet issues urgent weather warning

Today, February 2, strong winds are expected in some regions of Uzbekistan, according to an urgent warning issued by Uzhydromet.
The weather service reported that wind speeds may increase to 13–18 m/s in some areas of Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, and Kashkadarya regions.
In the capital, wind speeds are expected to reach 12–15 m/s.
It is worth noting that Uzhydromet earlier warned of a risk of avalanches in the country’s mountainous areas due to expected precipitation and changes in air temperatures from February 1 to 3.
