International gold reserves of Uzbekistan have decreased

9238As of 1 April of the current year, gross international reserves of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 35.155 billion dollars. Compared to March, reserves decreased by 205 million dollars. The Central Bank reported this.
The physical balance of gold in reserves totaled to 10.9 million troy ounces. The balance of its financial value increased by 160 million dollars to 20.9 billion dollars.
International reserves include foreign exchange reserves, special borrowing rights, reserve position of International Monetary Fund and gold. Foreign currency mainly includes cash held in banks.
For reference, since the beginning of 2022, the gross international reserves of the Republic of Uzbekistan increased by 16.3 million US dollars or 0.05%. The impact of the gold price hike from $1,799.25 early in the year to $1,924.10 formed $1.36 billion.
