Consul General of Uzbekistan in Dubai has been appointed

Kamal Ikramov has been designated as the Consul General at the Uzbekistan Consulate in Dubai, according to a report from the "Dunyo" news agency.
Upon assuming the role, Ikramov met with Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti Al Maktoum, the Director of the Dubai Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE. During the meeting, Sheikh Al Maktoum conveyed congratulations on Ikramov's diplomatic mission, offering best wishes for success in his consular endeavors.
The discussions between the two officials encompassed the current state and future development prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE. They explored avenues for enhanced collaboration across various sectors, including economy, trade, investment, technology, innovation, industry, agriculture, energy, transport, tourism, science, and culture.
It is noteworthy that Kamal Ikramov, at 44 years old, previously served as the Consul General of Uzbekistan in New York from 2018 to 2023. He now assumes the role in Dubai, succeeding Alisher Salomov, who led the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai from 2019 to 2024.
The consular jurisdiction of the Uzbekistan Consulate General covers the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, and Fujairah.
