A new ambassador of Uzbekistan to India has been appointed

Sardar Rustamboyev has been appointed as the new ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, according to a report by UzA.
The 45-year-old diplomat, a graduate of Birmingham University (Great Britain), Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and the School of Oriental and African Studies of London University (Great Britain), as well as the State and Society Building Academy under the President of Uzbekistan, holds a degree in political sciences.
Having been part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2000, Rustamboyev has held various positions within the central apparatus, ranging from attaché to head of department. He has experience working at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Great Britain and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Notably, from 2018 to 2023, he served as the head of Uzbekistan's embassy in France.
