Uzbeks will have three days off in honor of March 8—International Women's Day. This is stated in the official working hours calendar approved by the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment on December 24, 2024.
According to the document, if a public holiday falls on a non-working day, the day off is transferred to the next working day. Based on this rule, Uzbeks will have the following days off:
- March 8, Saturday – Public holiday, official day off
- March 9, Sunday – Regular day off
- March 10, Monday – Additional day off
This adjustment provides citizens with a long weekend to celebrate the holiday.
