Uzbek para-athlete Husniddin Norbekov won the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Championship hosted by France. This was reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports.

It was reported that yesterday, on July 16, the representative of Uzbekistan Khusniddin Norbekov, who took part in the men’s shot put program in the F35 class, won the gold medal with a result of 16.78 meters. Through this, he also got a licensee for the Paris-2024 Summer Paralympic Games.

Thus, the number of medals on the account of the delegation of Uzbekistan reached 15.  5 of them are gold medals.

For information, Norbekov won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games held in Japan. He (class F35) recorded a result of 16.13 meters in the nuclear launch program.
