A migrant from Uzbekistan dies in a car accident in Russia

On 12 August, a 49-year-old national of Uzbekistan was hit by a Nissan car in Murino, Russia. As a result of his injuries, he passed away. Russian media outlets wrote about it with a reference to their sources in law enforcement agencies.

The accident occurred on Ekaterinskaya Street near the residential complex "Greenland" in Murino. The migrant was crossing a road where there was no pedestrian crossing when he was hit by a car. After the accident, the Nissan driver fled the scene.

The victim died. The perpetrator of the incident was detained and placed in a detention center. A criminal case was initiated under the article “violation of traffic rules and rules of use of vehicles”.

It is noted that the detainee has been prosecuted four times for traffic offenses within one year.
