Judokas from Uzbekistan won 3 medals at the international competition

The “Grand Slam” judo tournament, held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, has come to an end.  The national team of Uzbekistan, that participated in it, won three medals.  This was reported by the Press Service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

Shahrukh Bakhtiyorov from Uzbekistan won a bronze medal in the +100 kg weight category on the last day of the competition.  He beat Slovakian Marius Fizel in the fight for 3rd place.

Before that, Obidkhan No’manov reached the final in the -73 kg weight category and was content with a silver medal.  Diyora Keldiyorova won the gold medal in the women’s competition in the -52 kg weight category.

According to the results of the tournament, the Uzbek team won the 4th place overall with 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.  The host team – Georgia, that won a total of 6 medals, took the 1st place.
