Uzbek athlete wins medal at the World Championships

The Uzbekistan national team has earned new medals at the World Para Powerlifting Championships. In particular, Nasiba Toshpulatova won two bronze medals.

At the tournament held in Cairo, Egypt, Nasiba Toshpulatova competed in the women’s 45 kg weight category. She successfully performed in the A final and claimed two bronze medals.

Women’s 45 kg category results:

Guo Lingling (China) – best lift: 125 kg; total: 368 kg
Tululup Ogundoli (Nigeria) – best lift: 112 kg; total: 330 kg
Nasiba Toshpulatova (Uzbekistan) – best lift: 111 kg; total: 325 kg

Currently, the Uzbekistan national team has a total of four medals: two silver and two bronze. The competition is still ongoing.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbek weightlifter Akbar Juraev set a world record in the clean and jerk at the World Weightlifting Championships held in Førde, Norway.
