Cold air mass moving into Uzbekistan – Uzhydromet

From January 22 to 24 this year, moist and cold air masses are expected to move into Uzbekistan, according to a warning issued by Uzhydromet.

It was reported that on the nights and mornings of January 22–23, precipitation across most of the country will mainly fall as snow. Icy conditions are expected to form on roads in some areas.

In the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic, snowfall is forecast for January 22–23, with heavy snow possible in certain locations.

In some parts of the country, wind speeds are expected to increase to 15–20 m/s, while gusts may occasionally reach 22–25 m/s.

On January 22–24, nighttime temperatures will drop to between 3 and 8 degrees below zero, while daytime temperatures will range from 3 degrees below zero to 2 degrees above zero. In northern regions, nighttime temperatures may fall to 12–15 degrees below zero, with daytime temperatures dropping to between 2 and 5 degrees below zero.
