Illegally imported ammunition to Uzbekistan was stopped

The illegal importation of military ammunition into the territory of Bukhara region was prevented. This was reported by the Press Service of the Border Troops of the State Security Service.
According to the source, S.A., a citizen of Uzbekistan, was traveling at the border crossing point “Olot-avtoyol” of Uzbekistan. The DAF cargo vehicle under the control was inspected by the border guards with the help of a service dog in cooperation with the customs officers.
During the investigation, it was found that 43 ammunition cartridges were hidden in 1 cardboard box between the back seat and the spare wheel of a Hyundai Elantra car without license plate, loaded on a truck trailer. It was also reported that the preliminary investigation is currently underway.
