It is known that the number of cases of Corona virus infection in Uzbekistan is increasing day by day.  In particular, as of yesterday 28 June, the cases of Corona virus infections have increased by 98, bringing the total number of cases to 240,667.

Of course, everyone is wondering if the quarantine will be reintroduced or if wearing the mask will become compulsory again.  In order to clarify these issues, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Botirjon Kurbanov, first deputy director of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision under the Ministry of Health.

“We can return to the mask-wearing mode only based on the protocol or statement of the Republican Special Commission.  The Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision under the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Health itself does not have the right to decide on the wearing of a mask.

"Every measure will be implemented after it is announced by the Republican Special Commission,"-Kurbanov said.

It should be recalled that since 1 March of the current year, the obligation to wear masks was abolished and converted to a voluntary basis.
