2116Through the widespread introduction of digitalization in Uzbekistan, a new system will be implemented to identify, select, and train talented athletes. This was announced today, February 13, at a videoconference meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
A separate digital platform will be launched to achieve this goal. In secondary schools, students' abilities in various sports will be assessed and recorded on the electronic platform. Sports schools will then select young talents based on these criteria, preparing them both physically and psychologically. Additionally, the daily results and achievements of athletes will be documented in a unified electronic system.
Sports federations will utilize the platform to identify top-performing athletes and invite them to national team training camps. A digital system will be established to monitor the physical indicators of young national team members. This will allow specialists, including international experts, to access the data online and provide recommendations.
Moreover, the platform will offer online consultations on medications that athletes can or cannot take when they are ill, preventing doping-related issues. This digital system will not only evaluate athletes but also assess the performance of their coaches.
It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that the President had given instructions on early identification of the category of disability.
