Fines in Uzbekistan to increase from September

The amount of fines in Uzbekistan will also increase starting this September. This is related to the increase in the base calculation amount from 412,000 soums to 440,000 soums.
Under the decree “On increasing the amounts of wages, pensions, scholarships and benefits,” signed by the President today, June 23, the base calculation amount will increase from 412,000 soums to 440,000 soums starting September 1 this year.
On this basis, the new fines for traffic violations from September will be as follows:
- No technical inspection or first-aid kit – 220,420 soums, currently 206,000 soums;
- Failure to wear a seat belt – 220,420 soums, currently 206,000 soums;
- Driving without documents – 440,840 soums, currently 412,000 soums;
- Driving without insurance, OSAGO – 881,680 soums, currently 824,000 soums;
- Running a red light – 1,322,520 soums, currently 1,236,000 soums;
- Improper parking, or parking in a prohibited area – 881,680 soums, currently 824,000 soums;
- Using a phone while driving – 1,322,520 soums, currently 1,236,000 soums;
- Driving without a license plate – 2,204,200 soums, currently 2,060,000 soums.
For speeding:
- Speeding by up to 20 km/h – 440,840 soums, currently 412,000 soums;
- Speeding by 20-40 km/h – 2,204,200 soums, currently 2,060,000 soums;
- Speeding by more than 40 km/h – 3,967,560 soums, currently 3,708,000 soums.
Serious violations:
- Driving in the opposite direction – 4,408,400 soums, currently 4,120,000 soums;
- Driving under the influence – 11,021,000 soums or deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years, currently 10,300,000 soums;
- Refusing a sobriety test – 6,612,600 soums or deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years, currently 6,180,000 soums;
- Unauthorized window tinting – 11,021,000 soums, currently 10,300,000 soums;
- Repeated unauthorized use of window tinting within one year – 8,816,800 soums, currently 8,240,000 soums.
Earlier, it was reported that wages, pensions, scholarships and benefits would be increased in Uzbekistan.
