The hunting season will be suspended in Uzbekistan

Starting today, 28 February, the hunting season for wild animals and birds will be suspended in Uzbekistan.  Adham Kurbanov, head of the inspection of the Ministry of Natural Resources, gave information about this.

In accordance with the procedure and rules established in the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Hunting and Hunting Farms” of 8 June 2020, the season for hunting wild animals and birds in the republic ended on 28 February of this year.

In this regard, all hunters are requested to submit their hunting permits within 10 days to the Association of Hunting and Fishing Sports of Uzbekistan and its divisions in its territories in accordance with the law.

Otherwise, in relation to Article 90, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, a fine from 3 million to 4 million 500 thousand soms will be imposed, or in the case of being prosecuted under the same article during the next year, hunting weapons may be confiscated and fine from 4 million 500 thousand to 6 million soms will be imposed.

“We remind all citizens to contact the short number (1157) or regional offices in case of violations related to hunting,” says Adham Kurbanov.
