A man who killed a person in Uzbekistan was arrested in Moscow

A person who was wanted for a crime committed in Uzbekistan 13 years ago was arrested in Moscow, the Russian Capital.  This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the source, this person killed his roommate in 2010, stole 7 thousand US dollars from her and 5 million soms, as well as the victim’s mobile phone, then fled to Russia.  Shortly after, an international search was announced.

In connection with the situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 97 (intentional murder) and Article 164 (invasion) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The suspect was caught in the Almaty street of the capital during a search operation conducted by Moscow investigators.  He showed the fake passport to the law enforcement officers.  Currently, the suspect is being detained.
