Uzbekistan to reimburse costs of local product certification

In Uzbekistan, the costs associated with obtaining certificates for locally produced goods will be reimbursed by the state. This is stipulated in the Regulation “On the Procedure for Reimbursing Costs Related to the Issuance of a Certificate or Expert Opinion on Locally Produced Goods,” approved by Government Resolution No. 835 dated December 29, 2025.

The regulation is aimed at supporting local manufacturers, increasing the share of national products in the domestic market, and reducing expenses for entrepreneurs.

According to the regulation, under the presidential decree of May 27, 2025, titled “On Additional Measures to Create Favorable Conditions for the Development of the Furniture and Woodworking Industry,” Uzexpertiza JSC has been designated as the authorized body to conduct examinations to confirm that furniture and woodworking products are manufactured by local enterprises. These examinations will be carried out free of charge.

Based on the examination results, a certificate of locally produced goods or an expert opinion will be issued. To prevent these procedures from becoming an additional financial burden for entrepreneurs, the costs associated with obtaining such documents will be reimbursed.

Specifically, the Trading Development Company JSC will reimburse the costs related to issuing a certificate or expert opinion on locally produced goods once during the validity period of the certificate or expert opinion.

Under the reimbursement procedure, the authorized body will submit a registry containing relevant information to the company on a weekly basis. This registry will be sent electronically via the subsidiya.epauzb.uz platform.

Applications for reimbursement submitted by the authorized body will be reviewed by the company within seven working days from the date of receipt, after which a decision on reimbursement of expenses will be made.
