Kengesboy Serjanov, a celebrated artist of Uzbekistan and People's Artist of Karakalpakstan passed away at the age of 66, as confirmed by the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan.
Throughout his career, Serjanov taught at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and the Pop Circus College of the Republic. As an opera singer with the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, he performed numerous leading roles.
Renowned for his powerful and expansive voice, Serjanov won many international competitions. He made significant contributions to nurturing renowned opera singers and advancing opera art in Uzbekistan.
It is also noteworthy that on May 13, Nasrullo Qabilov, a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, a writer and playwright, and a professor at the State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan, also passed away.
