It was determined which regions in Uzbekistan have the most illegal use of electricity

In Uzbekistan, electricity is used illegally in Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, and Fergana regions.  Navroz Norboboyev, the head of the press service of "Uzenergoinspeksiya", informed us about this.

During the events held by "Uzenergoinspeksia" between January-September 2022 in coordination with the authorized body, illegal connections to business entities, energy system enterprises, state organizations, and power networks with electrical devices of 35 kV and above a total of 718 cases were identified.  As a result, 87.1 billion soms of damages were recalculated by 440 consumers who illegally used electricity and heat energy.

In addition, 758 consumers illegally connected to the power grid, along with regional power grid enterprises and law enforcement agencies, caused damage to the system of 26.1 billion soms. Most cases of illegal use were found in Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, and Fergana regions.

The technical condition of 1,995 institutions was studied to pass the fall-winter season of 2022-2023 without incident in 3,207 social sector facilities, and the condition of installed external and internal electrical and thermal devices, as well as boilers for heating, were found to be unsatisfactory.  Also, regarding the condition of storage of coal fuel in coal warehouses, it was known that the condition of coal storage in 834 out of 2687 establishments working with coal is unsatisfactory.
