“Investor Assistance Center” will be created in Uzbekistan

An «Investor Assistance Center» will be established under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  This is stated in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, adopted on 15 October this year, «On additional measures to accelerate innovation and investment activity in the territory of the republic».

The decision established that in 2023-2026, technoparks in the form of a technopark «Inno», created in the city of Tashkent, will be created in the cities of Nukus, Bukhara, Dzhizak, and Namangan.

According to the decision, the main tasks of technoparks are:

•    Attracting talented youth, students, researchers, professors, and teachers to innovative activities in the technology park;

•    Organization of business incubators, experimental sites in the technopark;

•    Development of start-up projects for entrepreneurial youth and their implementation and financing;

•    Conducting sessions of training and master classes with representatives of leading foreign companies and experts.

The Centre for Advanced Projects and Engineering will be established within the Investment Project Centre.

The «Investor Assistance Center» will be established under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The Center has the authority to solve issues at all levels based on an innovative approach, and also assists investors and entrepreneurs on the principle of «one window».
