Drug dealers selling “hashish” were caught in Uzbekistan (video)

4119Around 65 kg of "hashish" smuggled from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan has been seized, according to a report by the State Security Service.
In one incident, a 30-year-old resident of Denov district was intercepted in his Cobalt car in the Uzun district. During an operation conducted by the Surkhandarya Region DSS in coordination with border troops and customs authorities, 50 kg 567 g of "hashish" was found in the car’s trunk, with the process formally documented. The preliminary investigation revealed that he had acquired the drugs from Tajik drug traffickers.
In a separate case, a 52-year-old from Margilan in the Fergana region was detained by DSS officers in Fergana. He was found in possession of 4 kg 929 g of "hashish," which had been hidden in Boka district, Tashkent region, by Tajik drug couriers. The man intended to resell the drugs for a profit.
In Andijan, DSS officers stopped a Spark car traveling along the "Samarkand-Andijan" route at a checkpoint in Buston district. Three individuals from Korgontepa district and a resident of Kara-suu in Kyrgyzstan were found with 4 kg 727 g of "hashish" in their possession. The investigation showed they had obtained the drugs from a Tajik dealer and were transporting it to Urgut district.
Additionally, four residents from Pakhtabad district, born between 1981 and 1992, were apprehended in Andijan district while selling 4 kg 634 g of "hashish" sourced from Kyrgyz dealers for $53,000. Three of the suspects had prior convictions.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects, and they are currently in custody as investigations continue.
Previously, narcotic trades from Tajikistan were reported in Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, Khorezm regions, and Tashkent.
