At present, the sacred objects assigned to the organizations and institutions of Uzbekistan are fully registered according to the classification of religions (monuments of Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhist shrines, etc.)  This is stated in the decision of the president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev «On additional measures to diversify domestic tourism services. »

According to the decision, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city governments (khokimiyats) together with the Committee of Religious Affairs will register the sacred objects and shrines (Islamic sites, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhist shrines, etc.) within three months.

Objects of material and cultural heritage will also be registered in accordance with international standards.  By 1 September 2022, a list of sacred places and shrines in the country will be created and will be placed on a single national tourist and information portal “Uzbekistan.travel”.

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city governments (khokimiyats) together with the Association of Private Tourism Organizations will ensure the inclusion and promotion of sites on the list of sacred sites and shrines as “points of attraction” in the republic's territories
