In Uzbekistan, information about all imported products must be displayed in Uzbek

In Uzbekistan, all importers must display product information in Uzbek.  This is stated in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 407 “On amending some laws of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the harmonization of the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the agreements of the World Trade Organization”.

According to him, due to Uzbekistan’s desire to become a member of the World Trade Organization, amendments were made to harmonize the normative legal documents with the rules of the World Trade Organization.  With this decision, it was established that all importers in Uzbekistan must display product information in the Uzbek language using the Latin alphabet.

That is, according to the decision of the Government, the imported consumer goods, which must be marked in the state language, are carried out by the authorized person of the manufacturer and importers (previously it was only by the manufacturer).

This decision will enter into force on January 1, 2024.
