The United Arab Emirates' JETEX company has unveiled plans to implement an investment project aimed at establishing VIP and CIP customer services at Tashkent-East Airport through a public-private partnership in the form of an FBO (Fixed Base Operator). As part of this initiative, the company will introduce air taxi services and VIP taxi options, alongside repair, sales, and storage facilities for the small aviation sector. This announcement was made in a memorandum signed on January 13 during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilhom Makhkamov, and JETEX founder Adel Mardini, coinciding with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to the UAE.

“This initiative will positively impact the development of Uzbekistan's tourism industry while providing added convenience for VIP clients. By offering high-level services to passengers, this project will enhance the prestige and attractiveness of our capital. Additionally, it is expected to generate over 200 highly qualified jobs in the business aviation sector. By leveraging the advanced experience of JETEX, Uzbekistan can ensure the reliable and sustainable growth of its business aviation sector," the memorandum states.

JETEX, founded in 2005, has established a global network spanning 30 business associations across five continents. The company operates around the clock in over 50 locations worldwide, including the Middle East, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, and America. As an FBO, JETEX provides comprehensive services for aircraft and passengers at airports, including refueling, parking, hangar storage, technical and repair support, aircraft rentals, charter sales, and various taxi services.
